Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani congratulated the Yazidi community on Sunday as they celebrated the annual Chileya Havîn festival. His message reaffirmed continued support for Yazidi rights while highlighting the importance of religious freedom and peaceful coexistence across the Kurdistan Region.
Barzani extended his greetings to Yazidis living throughout the Kurdistan Region and around the world. He wished families a joyful holiday filled with peace, security, prosperity, and hope for a brighter future. Furthermore, he pledged to continue supporting the community’s legitimate rights and aspirations.
The prime minister described the annual celebration as an opportunity to strengthen unity and preserve the Yazidi community’s rich religious heritage. At the same time, he expressed confidence that future progress would improve opportunities for Yazidi citizens throughout the region.
