Sulaimani Launches New Strategic Water Project

The Kurdistan Regional Government approved a new water project for Sulaimani worth 293 million dinars. Officials designed this project after the successful Erbil model. They stressed that this step forms part of a wider regional strategy for long-term stability.

The project aims to supply 20,000 cubic meters of clean water every hour. This goal will directly support the growing demand in Sulaimani. As a result, thousands of families will benefit from better access to reliable water.

Leaders explained that Sulaimani needs stronger infrastructure because the city population continues to expand quickly. They also noted that past shortages created many challenges for residents. With this plan, the government hopes to reduce those problems and bring balance.

In addition, engineers will apply new technology and stronger systems to ensure sustainability. They highlighted that learning from Erbil’s project allows Sulaimani to move faster and avoid delays. This cooperation between the cities shows a unified vision for development.

Furthermore, the project will create new jobs during the construction phase. It will also encourage local businesses to invest more, knowing that water security will improve. Strong infrastructure often boosts economic growth, and this project represents a clear example.

Overall, the government wants every major city to enjoy the same level of stability. Therefore, Sulaimani now follows Erbil in adopting a modern solution for water supply. Officials believe this decision will secure the city’s future and raise the quality of life.
