Governor Rahmani delivered personal greetings from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. He praised the Kurdistan Regional Government for easing the entry of Iranian pilgrims through the Haj Omran border. The governor highlighted the importance of this gesture, which helps thousands of travelers reach religious sites more efficiently.
Both leaders discussed strengthening historical and friendly relations. They focused on increasing trade and economic cooperation. President Barzani emphasized the importance of mutual respect and open dialogue in maintaining strong ties between the two sides.

Earlier, the Iranian delegation met with Prime Minister Masrour Barzani in Erbil. That meeting also highlighted trade, tourism, and the continued support of pilgrim movement. The Iranian officials expressed deep appreciation for the region’s ongoing assistance.
