Barzani and Japanese Consul General Discuss Stronger Ties in Erbil

President Masoud Barzani welcomed Hitoshi Ishizuka, the new Consul General of Japan, in Pirmam, Erbil. The meeting focused on deepening the friendship between the Kurdistan Region and Japan.

President Barzani congratulated Ishizuka on his new role. He expressed admiration for Japan’s rich culture and praised its contributions to the world. Barzani stated that the Kurdistan Regional Government is eager to strengthen its relationship with Japan.

In return, Consul General Ishizuka shared his excitement about working in the Kurdistan Region. He stressed that Japan remains committed to supporting the region. He also affirmed that both the Japanese government and its people value their partnership with Kurdistan.

The two leaders discussed recent political changes and ongoing developments in the region. They emphasized the need to build closer diplomatic and economic ties. Both agreed that cooperation could bring mutual benefits in various sectors.

Barzani and Ishizuka also highlighted the importance of maintaining peace and stability. They noted that deeper collaboration could help tackle regional challenges and open new opportunities.
