Weather Update: High Temperatures but Rain in Mountain Areas

Temperatures in Kurdistan continue to climb, with Garmian reaching 36 degrees Celsius. Other major cities also record warm conditions, while mountain regions may see rainfall.

Weather experts report that heat will not ease quickly. Instead, conditions will become slightly warmer over the next two days. Meanwhile, forecasts suggest light rain could fall in northern mountain areas, especially during the evening.

In Erbil, the temperature stands at 34 degrees, while Sulaymaniyah records 32 degrees. Dohuk also measures 32 degrees, and Zakho reports 33 degrees. In addition, Amedi stands at 30 degrees, Akre at 33, and Kirkuk matches Garmian at 36. Halabja records 31 degrees, Soran 32, and Haji Omaran, the coolest, at 21 degrees.

Meteorologists note partly cloudy skies across several regions. They add that some areas will remain clear, while others may experience light showers. Tomorrow, conditions will likely remain similar, although slight variations may occur in northern border districts.

Overall, Kurdistan continues to face warm late-season weather. While cities deal with rising heat, mountain regions expect refreshing rainfall.
