Warning Issued on Iranian Bottled Water; Toxic and Linked to Deaths

Authorities in the Kurdistan Region and other parts of the Middle East have issued an urgent warning about a type of bottled water produced by the Iranian company Oranos Star. According to reports, the water contains toxic substances and has been linked to multiple fatalities in several countries.

In Oman, a family, including a woman, died after consuming the water. Investigations by local police confirmed that the deaths resulted from drinking the toxic product purchased from a local market.

Health and food safety authorities in Oman quickly issued alerts, advising citizens to immediately discard any Oranos Star bottled water in their homes. Officials stressed that the product poses serious health risks and should not be consumed under any circumstances.

The Kurdistan Region authorities also echoed the warning, urging residents to check their households and avoid using the water. Experts note that some Iranian bottled water products, including Oranos Star, have contained hazardous chemicals, making them unsafe for consumption.

Citizens are advised to remain vigilant, report any suspicious or harmful food and beverage products, and follow official guidance to protect their health.

This alert highlights the importance of monitoring imported food and drink products, as well as the need for strict quality controls to prevent similar incidents in the region.
