Kurdistan Faces Colder Winter Than Past Two Years

This winter is expected to be colder than the past two years, according to weather forecasts. Experts predict a noticeable drop in temperatures in the coming days. Meteologists stated that today’s temperature levels are similar to previous days, but significant cooling will begin soon.

They added that most forecasts indicate this winter will bring refreshing cold and rainfall levels close to those of the past two years. The expected weather patterns suggest a stable and enjoyable winter season across the Kurdistan Region.

In terms of temperature levels across the region, the forecast shows clear variations between cities. In Erbil, temperatures will range between 22°C at night and 34°C during the day. In Sulaymaniyah, the highest will reach 32°C and the lowest around 21°C. Kirkuk will record higher temperatures, reaching 36°C during the day and dropping to 24°C at night.

Meanwhile, Duhok will experience cooler weather, with highs of 30°C and lows of 15°C. Halabja will range from 22°C to 33°C, while Zakho’s range will be 18°C to 32°C. Soran will record between 14°C and 31°C, Raperin between 20°C and 32°C, Garmian between 23°C and 37°C, and Haji Omran between 8°C and 24°C.

Overall, Kurdistan should expect a cooler and more pleasant winter season ahead.
