Kurdish Doctor Joins International Aesthetic Medicine Conference

Dr. Hemn Zaman, a specialist in dermatology and aesthetic medicine, has become the first Kurdish doctor from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region to join the scientific committee and speak at the AMWC Conference in Monaco.

The AMWC Conference is held annually and focuses on aesthetic medicine, anti-aging treatments, and dermatological research. Leading specialists from around the world present studies, conduct workshops, and engage in scientific discussions on the latest innovations in skin and aesthetic care.

Dr. Zaman represented Kurdistan and Iraq as the only Kurdish doctor on the scientific committee. He evaluated and discussed research studies, delivered lectures, and participated in workshops. His contributions highlighted local perspectives while sharing expertise with global professionals.

During the event, Dr. Zaman collaborated with international doctors, exchanging knowledge and best practices. He also attended demonstrations of specialized treatments and advanced medical tools for skin and aesthetic care. His involvement allowed him to connect Kurdistan’s medical field with international standards and innovations.

Previously, Kurdish doctors have attended the AMWC Conference, but none served as full members of the scientific committee or spoke on behalf of Iraq and Kurdistan. Dr. Zaman’s participation marks a historic milestone for Kurdish medical professionals in the field of aesthetic medicine.

The three-day conference concluded with a special exhibition showcasing innovative aesthetic solutions, medical instruments, and new dermatological techniques. Dr. Zaman emphasized that this experience will help him introduce advanced practices in Kurdistan and improve patient care standards.
