The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has announced a comprehensive summer water plan, as officials push ahead with major infrastructure projects to ensure stable supply during peak demand.
Ari Ahmed said Sunday that authorities have completed seasonal preparations. He noted that teams have already taken key steps to manage water distribution effectively during the hotter months.
Officials confirmed that maintenance work on water networks has been finalized. In addition, they have increased monitoring of reservoirs and pumping stations. These measures aim to prevent shortages and improve efficiency.
The KRG also accelerated several water projects across the region. Therefore, new pipelines and treatment facilities are expected to boost supply capacity.
Ahmed stressed that coordination between departments remains essential. He added that authorities will respond quickly to any disruptions during the season.
