Kurdistan Stands United: Barzani Calls for Kurdish Unity Amid Leadership Changes

Kurdistan Prime Minister Masrour Barzani extended warm congratulations to Ali Bapir on his re-election as leader of the Kurdistan Justice Group. At the same time, he issued a strong call for Kurdistan stands united, he emphasized while urging unity among all Kurdish parties.

Prime Minister Barzani delivered a formal message to Bapir and the new leadership of the Kurdistan Justice Group. The message marked the conclusion of the party’s internal congress and celebrated the continuation of Bapir’s leadership.

Barzani praised the party for its internal stability and democratic process. He expressed hope that their successful congress would mark a new era of collaboration among all Kurdish factions. He emphasized the need for collective action, stating that Kurdistan stands united is not just a slogan but a necessity for survival and progress.

In his congratulatory note, Barzani wrote, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations on your re-election and the successful conclusion of your congress. I wish you and your team continuous achievements.” He followed this with a firm political message about the current state of Kurdish affairs.

Barzani stressed the importance of defending the constitutional framework of the Kurdistan Region. He encouraged the Kurdistan Justice Group and other parties to unite in defense of Kurdish rights. “This is a critical moment,” he said. “Only if Kurdistan stands united can we overcome the challenges facing our region.”

Ali Bapir’s re-election has renewed discussions around unity within Kurdistan’s political landscape. Tensions and divisions among various Kurdish parties have often disrupted the region’s progress. Barzani’s statement comes as a timely reminder that internal cooperation remains essential.

The Prime Minister has consistently voiced support for a united Kurdish front, especially amid mounting regional pressures and legal disputes over the Kurdistan Region’s constitutional status. He has urged all parties to put aside differences and focus on shared goals.

Barzani’s call for unity also underscores the urgency of presenting a collective Kurdish voice. He believes that protecting the Kurdistan Region’s constitutional entity requires collaboration across the political spectrum. Without that, he warns, hard-won rights could face erosion.

As the region prepares for future challenges, including governance reforms and relations with Baghdad, Barzani’s message signals a push for political solidarity. Repeating once more that Kurdistan stands united, he concluded his statement with optimism and resolve.
